Original Photo of Something Beautiful - Time Square
Time Square - New York
This was a original photo taken from me when I visited New York. People may thing its a cliche saying that Time Square is something beautiful, but the memories behind the photo is what makes it a great photo for me. New York is fascinating to me, the photo was taken on the first night I arrived in Manhattan, even after a long airplane ride all I wanted to do was discover the city. The rain was pouring down, it was pitched black but as I continued to walk down broadway all I saw was a bright beam of light reflecting off the raindrops. Its a beautiful sight I will never forget.
Great Piece of Architecture - Farnsworth House
The Farnsworth House was designed and constructed by famous architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. It was designed and constructed between the years 1945 to 1951. It is remarkable how the Farnsworth House was designed between 1945 and 1951, yet it has influenced the modern architecture in todays times. The Farnsworth House yells simplicity. The Farnsworth House is one of my favourite architectural works because of its influential nature.
My Best Creative Work
This piece is one of three from my year 12 visual arts major work. The collection is called Nature + Structure, it comments on the natural world and the structural world of human society. The artwork is an investigation into the material glut which has resulted from the collision of nature and the rapid urban development. The increasing population has resulted in the depletion of natural resources and the greater reliance on a condensed urban lifestyles. The artwork is created from stationary staples, reflective perspex and miniature model trees.
